ARC Raiders Hotfix 2.0.2: Invisible Weapons and Server Crashes Fixed as Free Weekend Runs to Oct 12

One day after the Frozen Trail update went live, Embark Studios is rolling out Hotfix 2.0.2 for ARC Raiders on October 9, 2026. It goes after the most annoying launch-day bugs: weapons turning partly invisible, server crashes and a grate on Pendola Pass that could swallow players whole. According to ConsolePCGaming's write-up of Embark's Steam announcement, you only need to restart the game to download it.

The timing matters. Frozen Trail arrived alongside a free-to-play window that runs from October 8 to 12, so a lot of brand-new Raiders are hitting the Rust Belt right now. Stable servers this weekend are a big deal.

What Hotfix 2.0.2 fixes

Here is the full list of fixes, as reported by ConsolePCGaming:

  • Weapon meshes no longer turn partially invisible when you equip attachments. This was already listed as a known issue in the Frozen Trail 2.0 patch notes.
  • Weapon models show up in the inventory again.
  • Several causes of server crashes are fixed.
  • A grate on Pendola Pass no longer lets players fall through it and get stuck.
  • An error that could appear when buying DLC bundles is fixed.

Still broken: Reward Pass progression

The hotfix does not fix everything. Embark says it knows the Reward Pass is not progressing for some players and is "working on a solution". No timing has been given for that fix yet. If your pass looks stuck, the problem is on Embark's side, so don't spend hours grinding to fix it. For a refresher on what each tier gives you, see our ARC Raiders Reward Pass guide.

Free weekend and 50% off

If you haven't tried ARC Raiders yet, this is the cheapest moment to start. Embark's official announcement confirms:

  • Free to play from October 8 to 12 on all platforms. On PS5 in Germany, a €0.25 fee applies.
  • 50% off on all platforms while the promotion runs. GamingBible notes that the free access ends on October 12, after which you will need to buy the game to keep playing.

A quick reminder of what Frozen Trail added

Frozen Trail is the biggest ARC Raiders update so far. As GamingBible summarizes, it adds:

  • Pendola Pass, a frozen map with an observatory, an underground train depot and new dynamic loot zones
  • three new enemies, the Bully, Hydra and Skulker, plus the hulking Frigate
  • the Bantam and Stiletto weapons and a new upgrade tier for Amplified Weapons
  • a redesigned Raider skill tree
  • a bigger stash, now up to 328 slots

Forbes also has a breakdown of the patch notes. For our map rundown, read Everything New in Pendola Pass.

What's next

  • Now: restart ARC Raiders to grab Hotfix 2.0.2.
  • October 12: the free-to-play window closes.
  • TBA: a fix for Reward Pass progression. Embark has not given a date.

We'll update EarlyLoot as soon as Embark ships the Reward Pass fix.
