GTA 6 Launch Trailer Is Out: Flower in a Hurricane Score and November 19 Countdown
Rockstar just hit play on the final act. On October 15, 2026, the studio published the official Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on rockstargames.com — dated today on the page itself — and started the last stretch to the November 19, 2026 console launch.
If you have been waiting for a proper look at Vice City before day one, this is it.
What the launch trailer shows
The Verge describes the cut as roughly 90 seconds of Leonida at full volume: more of Vice City, more of the state's sunniest streets, and a clear focus on Jason and Lucia as a pair under pressure. Rockstar's own story blurb, quoted by The Verge, sets the tone:
"Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."
That relationship beat is not a side note. GameSpot (Eddie Makuch, Oct 15) also flags how heavily the trailer leans on Jason and Lucia sticking together when the score collapses, plus a bigger look at Vice City than earlier marketing.
GameSpot also notes the trailer was captured on a base PlayStation 5, and that PlayStation is pushing a heavy marketing push around the drop — useful context if you are watching for platform-specific capture quality, not a claim that one console "wins."
Flower in a Hurricane: the launch score debut
The trailer's musical punch is brand new. Rockstar debuts "Flower in a Hurricane" from original score composers Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, as listed on the official launch-trailer page.
GTABase reports the track is also lined up for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album — the companion soundtrack release tied to launch, which EarlyLoot already covered when Rockstar opened radio previews and album singles. Treat the album placement as outlet reporting unless Rockstar lists the full album tracklist on its music page.
Platforms, preload, and the November 19 clock
Nothing in today's trailer changes the locked console window:
- Launch: November 19, 2026
- Platforms at launch: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
- Pre-load: already confirmed for November 12 — see our GTA 6 pre-load guide for how digital and physical copies work
PC remains unannounced by Rockstar. GameSpot's Oct 15 write-up repeats the widely floated line that PC is expected in early 2027. That matches earlier outlet reporting we covered in GTA 6 PC release Q1 2027 report, but it is still a report, not an official Rockstar date. Do not pre-order PC hardware around a rumor.
